Subscribers: please read
If you are signed up as one of my subs and have not read and commented on any articles, please unsubscribe right away. I do not want empty numbers, I am only looking for people who are actually interested in what I write.
By no means does that mean you need to agree with me or even like my content, if you think my writing is bad, my logic is faulty, or just don’t like it, say that. It’s the silent “heart” and subscribe that I have zero use for.
I I could remove subscribers I would probably remove every one who has yet to comment on a single post.
Goose-Gander: I have read at least a few articles of every person I’m subscribed to, and read every article of a good number. Every time someone reads and comments on one of my articles I go snd read and comment on one of theirs. I only subscribe if I find the content something that pushes my mind forward and I want to read more.
Why are you subscribed to me?
This business of scribing without commitment is an artifact of the way SS is designed. People ARE going to chase the ring. And in this case it’s perceived exposure, becasue we all hate the idea of writing into the void.
I don’t worry about it too much because I actively cultivate the subs that are on there, working to encourage them to read something.
Comments are gold, of course.
I understand your sentiment. We are all dealing with it in our own ways.
I understand your frustration. Part of the issue is the Instagramification of Substabck and people chasing likes and subscribers rather than producing content that is meaningful.
